Lately at all
Wedding over. Pretty. Pictures soon.
(Enough of an update for you, Linds?)
No, seriously, I know I've been horrible at updating this lately. I have no excuses for writing nothing in almost a week, except for the fact that I don't have internet in my room yet, and I'm currently on Kim's computer.
But I'll get some pictures up as soon as my wireless is set up, which will be tomorrow!

That'll do for now. ;)

I want to see pictures!
Jen,
Unfortunately, she doesn't have many "real" wedding pix, so far; those are on the photographer's CD or whatever. Alida has a few of the girls, taken in the park. I, too, am waiting to see something more! It went well and was beautiful--they were all beautiful!
Mrs. A.
Any pictures are fine - can you tell that I like weddings?
I'm glad that the wedding went well - it's hard to believe that it's all over in a day though, eh?
Congrats to your family, Mrs. A!
Thanks, Jen. Yes, over in a day. . . but a good day. Now onto the marriage, which will be many years, hopefully!
Did you hear (I guess you wouldn't have) that Esther had had a cough for several weeks and was diagnosed with whooping cough on her wedding day?!! That just added an extra bit of excitement--getting antibiotics, talking to the public health nurse, and wondering if she was going to throw up during the ceremony because she didn't feel good! She didn't, and appeared to perk up over the course of the evening, so either she felt better or she put on a good act! She should be finished with the meds by now; hopefully she feels better, although the nurse says the cough can last a long time.
By the way, Alida's bouquet from your wedding is still in our freezer--who says it's over in a day?!
Take care,
Mrs. A.
All I meant about the wedding being over in a day is that the wedding itself is over. There's so much excitement beforehand, and then all of a sudden it's gone. I remember thinking on our honeymoon that I felt a little weird not have a to-do list a mile high to work on.
Of course, what's left after the wedding is about a gazillion trillion times better, but I think most brides do experience at least a slight let-down once the wedding itself is over. From what I've heard, having a baby can be similiar type of experience.
Sorry, Mrs. A, but it's a little hard for me to hear all the Calgary news way out here in Ontario. :) I can't imagine being diagnosed with whooping cough on your wedding day - Esther and Justin certainly have a great story to tell someday! I hope she's feeling better now, and that she remembers something from the wedding ceremony other than "I will be able to stand up. I will not run to the bathroom. I will be ok."
Alida's bouquet has lasted longer than mine - I had to throw mine out because it didn't dry out right and the flowers started to go mouldy. Lovely, I know. The top layer of our wedding cake is in my parent's freezer - maybe the next time we get together, Alida can wear her bridesmaid dress and I'll wear my wedding dress and we'll look at frozen flowers and eat freezer-burnt cake. Or then again, maybe she should just come to Toronto and we'll go to H&M instead. We could make a day of it and visit all 7 H&Ms in the GTA.
Anyway, Alida, I'm sorry that I've written a longer message to your mom than I have to you recently. Don't worry, some fun mail that may or may not have come from the Toronto zoo is on its way to you.
I miss H&M. And I like mail!! And... I meant to get the flowers out of the freezer when I was there on Sunday, because I have somewhere to put the buds now, but I forgot.
Alida can wear her bridesmaid dress and I'll wear my wedding dress and we'll look at frozen flowers and eat freezer-burnt cake.
Does that sound as sad to you as it does to me? :o(
Actually, I think we should eat the tier of cake that's in our freezer so it doesn't get freezer-burnt--Esther would never eat all that cake, anyway!! But I'll let her decide that!
Perhaps it's just as well that all last week's flowers hardly lasted the day--then no one has to worry about where to keep them.
And it's OK that Jen writes to me--no one else does!! Besides, some of my kids' friends actually like me, so if they want to write to me, that's nice!!
(Thanks, Jen!)
Mom/Mrs. A.
Yes, I'm feeling better (thanks Jen!)...and my flowers are dead too (in the back of our truck).
Mom, no eating my cake...maybe we will share when we come back, but until then, don't touch.
As for remembering the wedding, that's why we had someone tape it. ;)
