Miss your old familiar friends
Today was that perfect day that feels like the first day of spring--the kind of day with warm weather, the chance to leave the heavy jacket at home, the streets full of people outside on their lunch breaks... it was beautiful. And Friday, to boot. Does it get any better than that? (it would if the wireless internet at home was working)
I ate breakfast and lunch outside; I didn't need a jacket at all for most of the day. I walked for blocks, and it was gorgeous.
Spring fever, baby!
By the way, can anyone tell me what TV theme song my entry title is from? And, in answering that, you'll figure out which blast from the past I watched a few episodes of at Ryan and Jeana's...

I wore my spring coat today too - we must be connected psychologically somehow... same jeans, same polo shirt, wearing spring coats on the same day....
He, he. . . I wore my turtleneck, sweatshirt, and winter coat today, and my ear muffs (and wished I had a scarf) and boots when Judy E. and I walked down by the river today. The wind from the west was quite stiff, though the sun felt good and I unbuttoned my top button on the way east! At least we didn't have a snowstorm. We did walk on ice on the shady side of the river, however.
Jen, have you looked in at The Bay this weekend? You might want to.
Mom
Thanks for the heads-up, Mrs. A! I will definitely check out the sale.
Full House. But my confession is that I looked it up. In my defense, whilst all others were watching Full House, I was watching Knight Rider, Remington Steel, The Bionic Man etc.
I'm not going to post on my limo ride or what happened when we got to our destination, so I'll have to tell you over the phone. It's a doozie and very unexpected!
Can't wait! I want to hear all the details...
Mom and Jen, I love that you use my comments for your own conversations.
And yes, Full House. Man, I loved that show. I watched a couple of mid-day reruns while Caden was taking a nap, and it just made me remember how much I used to really, really love Candace Cameron. And then she moved to Calgary, and it was just about the coolest thing ever. I actually came across her website a few months ago... it was linked from somewhere, and had pictures of her family, her testimony, a faith/Christianity Q and A section... kind of interesting.
Spring weather? What Spring weather? We are under a few feet of snow and it just won't seem to stop! I never get to have spring on my birthday. :P *pouts!* Hehe. Hope you have a great weekend.

Well, it works, doesn't it? And that's all I can say about that! (Except, I hope you did it today, Jen! Tomorrow is too late.)
Today it is blowing, though not really snowing fresh snow. I hope I can get out of the yard when Carl has to go to work (and when I have to pick him up at 10 p.m.)! I may park at the road when I come back, just in case. Dad is at a quiz tournament in Edmonton.
Mom
lol mom, you and your road parking. YOu know, if you had winter tires or 4 wheel drive you wouldn't have a problem ;) (or you could just live in the city where there are semi-plowed streets)
And Alida, guess what!!! I might have gotten a (part time) job at Bow River Alliance yay me!! And I talked to Jenny klassen last week, who told me she is getting married (and asked if you were married yet..you just can't get away from the questions)
Hi Mrs. A,
I did look, and I didn't find anything I *really* wanted. Did you?
I like the road parking - my parents sometimes do that too. Having to plow your own snow makes all the difference, eh?
Esther, did you at least tell Jenny that I'm cool because I live in NYC? ;o)
Yes'm, I did, don't worry.
Jen,
I did my Christmas shopping! The cashier looked at me kind of wierd when I told her that was what I was doing!
Mrs. A.
(Now that admission is going to spark a few comments from some girls I know! Don't worry--it's not for you.)
Did you find anything on sale that I'd want?
Congrats, Mrs. A!
I thought I was doing well to get mine done by Dec. 1 this (well, now last) year, but clearly I have a long ways to go.
Alida, I found the most perfectist gift for you - at the dollarstore, I found wooden plaques of vintage ads. There were no coffee ones, but I found a soda one and one for some sort of cleaning product.
I was *this close* to buying them, but then I picked them up. And well, let's just say that I would pay the cost x20 to mail them to you. And I'd rather just send you the money to go have Starbucks every day for a week while you read Trading Spaces books. :)
