Take a bus, take a plane, take a train
I'm here. And I've been awake for 22 hours and counting. I think I've hit my... third? fourth? wind by now. Or it might be the coffee I had on the way home from Kat and Aaron's house. Or a combination of all of the above.
It's good, though. Kat, Laurel, Jakes, and I went to Madison's for an early dinner, and then I went back to Casa Reinhardt to hang out with all the cool people who live there--Kat, Aaron, Jakes, and Edwin. And Brandon, but he's not quite as cool. :o)
Still. Jakes remembers me, which is always what I'm worried about when I come back. Four months is a long time for an almost-two-year-old, and I'm always afraid that I'll come back and he'll start to play strange with me. He just looked at me with a really intense look for a minute, like, "I'm supposed to know you, but I can't quite figure out why," but he had it pretty soon, and then we were inseparable for the rest of the evening. Awww. I miss my Jakes when I don't get to watch him grow up. Every time I see him, he's so much more little boy and so much less baby.
Anyways. The flight was good, the travel was good, and then I sat around the house in my underwear while Mom did a dress fitting for me. Heh.
All five of us are sleeping under one roof. Now that's rare these days. Of course, sleeping is about the only thing we're all doing under the same roof at the same time, but still--for those five hours a day that we overlap (at least, for a few nights), we're all in one place at one time.
Of course, of the 5 nights I'm in Calgary, I'm spending at least 2 of them away from the farm. But that's what a whirlwind trip like this is all about.

Pita...I'm glad that you are back and have some time with your family...In spite of all the busy-ness. I will see you at the wedding on Friday!
I hope you have a wonderful time back in Canada! :)
Glad to hear you got back there safe and sound!! :) Enjoy your time there, thought it is brief!

yes, the underwear sitting time was interesting...probably moreso for those around you! (And with dad's work schedule, the overlap is probably closer to three or four hours)
Next time the five of us (I typed 4 for some reason...who is not a part of the family?) are in the same house again, we will probably ALL be as busy (or busier)than you are this week. fun times :)
