We Used to be Friends
It's Wednesday morning! You know what that means?
Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars thoughts are up on my livejournal.
Go look. You know you want to.
(And VM is at the bottom, so if you're trying to stay unspoiled, you can close the window when you get to the end of the GG section.)

Reading your reviews is almost as good as watching the show! :)
Re: your last post
So, what can I learn from your blog today?! What schools are you considering? How is the studying going?
Mom
Alida, why does your mom need to read your blog to find out the details about your life when you live less than an hour away from her?
(note: this may just be jealousy talking because when I told my mom I had a blog she said "That's stupid. Why would you do that? What kind of person reads that anyway??")
oh, Alida I forgot to tell you...Christy Gooler (insert married name here) says hi
Hey, Jen--
I haven't kept up with your blog, but what I have read was very interesting and thought-provoking! Would you like me to keep up with yours, too? So what kind of a person am I, anyway?
As far as less than an hour away--yeah, and less than a second away from the phone! But not always is there time to get on and tell your life story! (She did, however, phone and tell her dad about her job before we read it on the blog!)
Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving! (And Alida was here to share it with us!)
Mrs. A.
You don't have to read my blog, Mrs. A. I actually announced over the weekend that I'm giving up blogging for a while. It's been something that has become a chore (as opposed to an enjoyable hobby) and I wanted a break.
And I was in no way applying anything about what kind of person you are - I just thought my mom's reaction was funny. Personally, I think blogs are great. :)
Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
In my defense, I hear some family news (like the fact that my dad's company was closing down their second shop and he was moving to their other location) through the grapevine, too! It's what happens when we don't talk every day, and I don't take offense to not hearing everything first-hand.
:) That's funny.
All that is true, and I didn't take any implications about what kind of person I am, so don't worry that I'm offended or anything! Maybe your mom doesn't figure you need one because you are close by, but when Alida was far away, it was invaluable to us for keeping up with her life.
Just so you know, I don't talk to my own mom all that often, either. (That sounds bad--like we don't get along or have nothing to say to each other, which is not the case at all!) We just didn't grow up in a culture of calling long-distance very often, though I phone her much more often now than I did when we were first married. She still doesn't phone me! I write fewer letters, too, however!
Enjoy your "blog break," Jen! Hope you had a great weekend!
Mrs. A.
