And I'm still awake, writing this song
Mmmm. I went and saw dance of the holy ghosts at the Yale Repertory Theater tonight. It was amazing. In some ways, so very different than much of the theatre I watch, but in other ways, it has the makings of a classic.
And now it's 3:30 a.m., and I'm still up, and I love it. And I need to go to sleep--I know that--but for as much as I'm getting used to getting up at 6 (and even enjoying the feeling of being the first one up), it still doesn't compare to being the last one up.
Only a few hours separate them, but somehow, being the last one up--being up all night and watching morning come from the other side--is much more magical than being the first one up and watching the morning come from that side.
You know?

I was seriously going to email you tonight to ask if you went up to Yale again, but I guess I don't have to! Did you miss me on the train?
I'm glad you had a good time. :o)
Alida, I wish so much you were here so you could see the show. No one else bothers. Pity party over; was dance of the holy ghosts a ballet piece? or just movement?
Mmm... yes, I know exactly what you mean. I love it when for some inexplicable reason, I end up staying up all night until morning comes.
I remember one night, there were a few people who crashed at my old house. I couldn't sleep for some reason, ended up writing some music, just thinking - then walked down to the pier just before sunrise and stayed there while the sun came up. It was magical.
