We're no exception to that rule
I keep getting more and more furious over the whole Everwood debacle. Now, apparently, they're not planning to release any seasons beyond season 1 on dvd. I just don't understand why the network execs hate the show so much--why do they have it out for it?
That makes me as angry as the fact that they're cancelling the show before its time. Why--why--why do the Crapdens deserve to live on in infamy (in an undeserved, unwanted, and unwarranted 11th season, as well as on dvd) when the Abbotts and Browns don't? *sigh* Seriously. I sobbed last night, I'm crying now just thinking about it and listening "Fields of Gold" by Eva Cassidy from last night's episode, and the hits just don't stop coming.
The only bright spot is that Rina Mimoun is signed as an executive consultant on Gilmore Girls, so hopefully some of her touch will be on that come season 7. Still--it's a bitter price to pay. The improvement of one dearly loved show because another died? It's like an organ transplant. And SevHev is like a drunk driver that walked away from the scene without a scratch.
Okay. Something else. Chris took me out for lunch today and gave me reference letters, and then gave me How to Run a Theatre, a book I'd signed out of the library a few years ago--and one that was on my to-buy list, but fortunately, he got to it before I did. So, yay.
And then, I was walking down 42nd Street and a group of people asked if they could ask me a few questions about The DaVinci Code on camera--turns out they were from the 411, the church that we went to the Good Friday service at. So that was kinda cool. (And Kim, I think I did you proud!)
Plus, it was gorgeous, and I sat in Bryant Park for 2 hours over lunch. Most excellent.
*sigh*
Nope, not making me feel any better. Can I be four for a minute? No fair! No fair! No fair! Or, to channel Claire, from the Baby-Sitters Club books (yes, I know how sad it is that I can still reference that...), "Nofe air!"

How nice of Chris! Sounds like a nice day all around.
(Except for the fact that I still think you have too much time on your hands! Do you get that worked up over real life??)
Auntie Beth was asking if you are still thinking of making a trip there this summer??
Love you,
Mom
I am totally with you on the SevHev vs. Everwood thing. Everwood is a MUCH better show!!! I don;t know if you saw the season finale of Sev HEv, but apparnetly everyone is having triwns and it was all annoying and weird and so NOt realistic! I am really going to miss Everwood, I think they are making a big mistake!! Booooo. :(

Ah... the Babysitter's Club. I was their biggest fan as a kid. I think I was still collecting once I started uni (though just the Dawn books and the Super Specials). How crazy is that. I used to beg mum to buy them (when I was in primary school) from the department store and I would practically finish reading them on the way home in the car.
